What Actually Happens During a Spellbond Deep Clean (Beyond the Before & After Photos)
Deep clean vs “big tidy”
“Deep clean” gets thrown around a lot. Sometimes it means “we spent longer than normal”. Sometimes it means “we cleaned things properly for the first time in years”.
At Spellbond, a deep clean is a structured, top-to-bottom reset using our 3-Level Clean method. It’s how we turn a home from “overwhelming” to “I can breathe again” – and it’s especially powerful before you start regular maintenance cleans.
Here’s what actually happens.
Our method: Spellbond 3-Level Clean
Every deep clean follows the same structure:
Level 1 – Reset (dirt/dust/debris)
Clear surfaces, remove cobwebs, vacuum loose dust and debris
Level 2 – Clean (wash/sanitise)
Hot water and appropriate products to remove grime and build-up
Level 3 – Polish (finish/detail)
Glass, stainless, fixtures and final touches so everything feels finished
We pair this with our Fireman’s Method – working left-to-right, top-to-bottom – so nothing gets missed and we’re not walking dirt back through fresh areas.
Kitchen deep clean
In a deep clean, we go well beyond a basic wipe:
Degrease stove top, trivets and control knobs
Clean rangehood filters and underneath the hood
Wipe cupboard doors, handles and top edges
Clean inside cupboards and drawers if included in your quote
Scrub sink and tapware, including around the base
Clean splashbacks (including grout if tiled)
Detail the front of appliances (oven, dishwasher, fridge)
Clean inside the oven where requested – racks, trays, door glass and seals
Floors are vacuumed and mopped last, after all other work is complete.
Bathroom and toilet deep clean
This is where deep cleans make the biggest visual difference. We:
Treat and scrub shower screens to remove soap scum and build-up
Detail tiles and grout in showers, focusing on high-use areas
Clean and sanitise vanities, basins, taps and plug holes
Wipe inside and outside of cupboards and drawers where quoted
Scrub toilets using our step-by-step method (rim, bowl, hinges and base)
Polish mirrors and chrome for a lasting shine
Every surface is treated with the correct product – we never use the same cloth that touched the toilet on your vanity or shower.
Living areas and bedrooms
Deep clean attention includes:
Cobweb removal from ceilings and corners
Dusting fans, air-conditioning vents and accessible light fittings
Wiping skirting boards and door frames
Spot-cleaning walls where appropriate
Dusting window sills and tracks (and cleaning glass where quoted)
Detailing furniture surfaces, decor and electronics
Vacuuming under and behind furniture where accessible
Bedrooms get the same treatment with the addition of:
Wiping bedheads, side tables and lamps
Vacuuming under beds where reachable
Entry, hallways and “forgotten” areas
These often get ignored in DIY cleaning but make a huge difference to how your home feels:
Front entry and porch swept and cobwebs removed
Front door cleaned (inside and out)
Hallway walls and skirtings detailed
Laundry sinks, benches and appliances cleaned
How long does a deep clean take?
Every home is different, but as a guide:
Smaller, tidy homes: half-day with a team
Family homes with build-up: full day or more
Homes that haven’t had a professional clean in years: may require staged visits
That’s why our quotes are based on estimated hours and actual scope, not just “number of bedrooms”.
When should you book a deep clean?
A deep clean is perfect if:
You’ve just moved in and want to reset someone else’s “old energy”
Life has been hectic and you’re overwhelmed by build-up
You’re about to start regular maintenance cleaning and want a fresh baseline
You’ve renovated or done major works and dust is everywhere
